In an evenly contested Serie A match, Empoli and Bologna played to a 1-1 draw. The home side took the lead through Colombo’s goal in the 25th minute, but Bologna equalized just before halftime with Dominguez finding the net.

Empoli lined up in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with Vasquez in goal and a back three of Goglichidze, Ismajli, and Viti. The midfield consisted of Gyasi, Grassi, Henderson, and Pezzella, while Esposito and Fazzini supported Colombo up front.

Bologna opted for a 4-2-3-1 system, featuring Skorupski between the posts. The defense comprised Holm, Beukema, Lucumi, and Lykogiannis. Freuler and Moro anchored the midfield, with Dominguez, Odgaard, and Ndoye playing behind striker Dallinga.

The match saw several substitutions, with both teams making changes to influence the game. Notable yellow cards were shown to Henderson and Grassi of Empoli in the first half, and Pezzella in the second.

Referee La Penna added four minutes of stoppage time in the first half and five in the second. The draw leaves both teams with a point each as they continue their Serie A campaigns.
