English Referee to Officiate PSG’s Champions League Encounter with Brest
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is set to resume their Champions League campaign against Stade Brestois on Wednesday evening at 21:00, following their recent 1-0 victory over Toulouse FC. Luis Enrique’s team holds a comfortable 3-0 advantage from the first leg in Brittany, putting them in a strong position to advance to the round of 16. However, they must still navigate another 90 minutes against Éric Roy’s determined Brest side, who will be giving their all to overturn the deficit at the Parc des Princes.
UEFA has announced that English referee Michael Oliver will be in charge of the match. Oliver is no stranger to PSG, having previously officiated their game against Red Bull Salzburg (0-3) in December. The experienced referee has already overseen 19 domestic matches in England this season.
Oliver will be supported by an all-English officiating team. Stuart Burt and James Mainwaring will serve as assistant referees, Andrew Madley as the fourth official, and Michael Salisbury and Peter Bankes will be responsible for VAR duties.
