AC Milan and Brighton are in the final stages of completing a €19 million transfer for Pervis Estupinan. The Ecuadorian left-back is scheduled to arrive in Italy on Wednesday for his medical examination.
The two clubs reached an agreement on the transfer fee, which consists of a €17 million base price plus an additional €2 million in potential bonuses. Both sides are currently finalizing the necessary paperwork to proceed with the deal.
Estupinan`s determination to join AC Milan has been evident throughout the negotiation process. His agent, Jorge Mendes, played a crucial role in facilitating the transfer, as the player had set his sights firmly on the Italian club.
The 25-year-old defender is set to fill the void left by Theo Hernandez, who recently departed for Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. Estupinan joined Brighton from Villarreal in 2022 for €17.8 million and made 36 appearances for the Premier League side last season, scoring once.
This transfer marks another significant move in AC Milan`s summer recruitment drive as they aim to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
