Europa League Matchday 2: AS Roma vs. Lille – Starting XIs Announced

AS Roma prepares to welcome Lille for their inaugural home Europa League fixture of the season. The match is set to commence at 18:45 CET at the iconic Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

The Giallorossi face challenges with several players unavailable, including the injured Leon Bailey and Paulo Dybala, as well as Tommaso Baldanzi and Davis Vasquez, who are not registered for UEFA competitions.

Manager Gian Piero Gasperini has limited attacking options, opting for Matias Soulé and Evan Ferguson up front. The young Irish striker is eager to open his account for the season.

Zeki Celik is confirmed in a three-man defense, while Neil El Aynaoui steps in for Manu Koné in midfield. Konstantinos Tsimikas takes up the left wing-back position.

The French side Lille will rely on former AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud to lead their attack.

Both teams started their Europa League campaigns with victories last week. Roma secured a 2-1 away win against OGC Nice, while Lille matched that scoreline at home against Brann.

Confirmed Starting Lineups

AS Roma: Svilar; Celik, Hermoso, N`Dicka; Wesley, Cristante, El Aynaoui, Tsimikas; Soulé, Pellegrini; Ferguson.

Lille: Bodart; Tiago Santos, Ngoy, Goffi, Verdonk; Bouaddi, Bentaleb; Fernandez-Pardo, Haraldsson, Correia; Giroud.
