Everton Prepares Bid for Lyon’s Promising Winger Ernest Nuamah

Everton Football Club is poised to renew their pursuit of Lyon’s young Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah. The Premier League side is reportedly preparing to submit a formal bid for the 21-year-old talent, who has found playing time limited at the French club this season.

Nuamah, who joined Lyon in 2023, has made only 16 appearances across all competitions, contributing just two goals in European matches. Despite his lack of regular first-team action, the Ghana international continues to attract interest from several Premier League clubs.

Last summer, Nuamah came close to joining Everton, even agreeing personal terms, before ultimately remaining in France. The player also reportedly backed out of a medical examination with Fulham to facilitate his stay at Lyon.

Sources suggest Everton is keen to secure Nuamah’s signature and believes there is a strong possibility of completing the transfer if an agreement can be reached with Lyon. The young winger is currently under contract with the French side until 2028.

As Everton looks to bolster their attacking options, the potential addition of Nuamah could provide a boost to their squad depth and inject some youthful energy into their forward line.
