Everton Set Sights on Rising Star Striker to Bolster Attack

Everton have shown marked improvement since David Moyes took charge in January, but the club still lacks firepower up front. With just 34 goals scored this season, only the bottom three teams have found the net less frequently than the Toffees.

While Beto has shown flashes of form under Moyes, Everton are in need of additional attacking reinforcements. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to depart when his contract expires this summer, leaving a void to be filled.

According to reports, Everton have identified AS Monaco striker Mika Biereth as a top target ahead of the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old Danish forward has been in scintillating form since joining Monaco in January, netting 12 goals and providing 3 assists in just a few months.

Remarkably, Biereth has outscored Liverpool star Mohamed Salah in 2025 so far. The young striker ranks in the top 5% of forwards across Europe’s top leagues for non-penalty goals per 90 minutes this season.

Standing at 6’1″, Biereth possesses an imposing physical presence combined with clinical finishing ability. He has even drawn comparisons to Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland, stating that like the Norwegian, his sole focus is finding the back of the net.

While prising Biereth away from Monaco may prove challenging, his goalscoring exploits make him an enticing option as Everton look to add more firepower to their attack next season. The club will hope his prolific form can translate to the Premier League if a deal can be struck.

With Moyes seeking to build on Everton’s upturn in results, acquiring a striker of Biereth’s potential could be key to pushing the club further up the table in 2025/26. The Danish forward represents an exciting option as the Toffees aim to solve their goalscoring woes.
