Fabregas Bitter After Como Draw: “Referee? I’d Rather Not Talk About It. Nico Paz Is Talented, But…”

Following the match where Venezia equalized against Como in the final moments (1-1), the coach of Como, Cesc Fabregas, spoke at a press conference. Here are his statements:

MATCH ANALYSIS

“I am not satisfied with the draw, but I compliment Venezia who never give up. We had a good first half, perhaps lacking something, but it was a performance of character and quality against teams that sit deep. It’s difficult to score against Venezia, their goalkeeper was excellent with a super save on Goldaniga. Analyzing the game: we didn’t manage the match well after 65 minutes, we could have done better.”

INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS

“Diao was tired, he is observing Ramadan and perhaps wasn’t at his best. They didn’t shoot much on goal and allowed us to play. We need to improve a lot, and I say this even if we had won 1-0. Nico Paz? He is talented but needs to take a bit more initiative. He has quality and talent. He needs to make the difference, improve and grow, and we are helping him.”

THE REFEREE

Don’t make me talk. The added time at the end was a bit excessive, but I won’t add anything else…”
