Female Lens Fans File Legal Action Against French Police Over Invasive Searches

In a recent development, several female supporters of Racing Club de Lens have initiated legal proceedings against security personnel and French CRS riot police. The complaints stem from allegations of invasive and inappropriate searches conducted during the recent Derby du Nord match.

The group stated, “We were promptly informed about the unacceptable and intrusive searches carried out at Pierre Mauroy stadium by a judicial police officer. We’ve been working to contact the affected individuals since yesterday evening.”

This incident has reignited criticism of body search practices at French stadiums, particularly those targeting away fans. The French National Supporters Association has previously condemned what they describe as an “urban legend” taken too literally by CRS police and security services – the notion that female supporters conceal pyrotechnics in intimate areas.
