Fiorentina Accelerates Pursuit of Juventus’ Fagioli in €15M Deal
Fiorentina is ramping up negotiations with Juventus for midfielder Nicolò Fagioli as the transfer window nears its close. The Italian international has expressed a clear preference for joining the Viola over other interested clubs like Olympique Marseille.
Reports indicate that Juventus has set an asking price of €15 million plus €4-5 million in potential bonuses for the 23-year-old talent. The deal may also include a percentage of any future transfer fee.
Fagioli, who has earned seven caps for Italy, has made 22 appearances for Juventus this season. His potential move to Fiorentina comes as the club explores midfield options, with Roma’s Bryan Cristante considered an alternative target.
As discussions progress, Fiorentina is working to finalize an agreement before the transfer deadline at 11:00 PM GMT. The acquisition of Fagioli would significantly bolster the Viola’s midfield options for the remainder of the season.
In related transfer news, Milan may be allowed to sign Fiorentina’s Riccardo Sottil on loan with a €10 million purchase option, contingent on Fiorentina securing a suitable replacement. Valencia striker Rafa Mir has reportedly been proposed as a potential option for the Tuscan club.
