Fiorentina Manager Palladino: “7 Points Against Top Teams Shows We’re on the Right Track”
Following Fiorentina’s 2-2 draw with AC Milan, manager Raffaele Palladino shared his thoughts on the match and his team’s recent performances:
“We came to San Siro and faced a formidable team with impressive individual talent. Our team played with great personality and intensity, creating numerous chances to win. It was an exciting match that could have gone either way. I’m pleased with the team’s attitude and growth – we’re on the right path. We’ve earned 7 points against Milan, Atalanta, and Juventus.”
When asked about substituting Gudmundsson, Palladino explained, “All players want to stay on the field in such an important match. For me, everyone is important, and I needed fresh energy.”
Regarding Kean’s performance, the manager noted, “He made another great performance, causing difficulties for Milan’s defense. Our goalkeeper was also phenomenal. It’s been years since I’ve seen such an exciting match – it’s great for Italian football.”
On Fiorentina’s Champions League prospects, Palladino remained cautious: “I need to keep a low profile. We’re growing and have taken a good path. We have seven more games to play, and we want to compete in all of them. Our psycho-physical state is strong, but we must remain humble and keep working hard. Everything is still open.”
Addressing the team’s inconsistencies this season, Palladino acknowledged, “We’ve had some indecisions against mid-table teams and lost points along the way. From now until the end of the season, our goal is to deliver strong performances against lower-ranked teams. We mustn’t deviate from this path. Anything can happen.”
