Fiorentina Pursuing Deals for Fagioli and Zaniolo
According to reports from Italian media, Fiorentina is making significant progress in negotiations to acquire two promising young Italian players – Juventus midfielder Nicolò Fagioli and Atalanta forward Nicolò Zaniolo.
The Florence-based club is reportedly in advanced talks with Fagioli, hoping to reach an agreement with the player before approaching Juventus with a formal offer. However, Fiorentina faces competition from German side RB Leipzig, who are also interested in the talented midfielder and expected to submit a proposal to Juventus shortly.
Regarding Zaniolo, Fiorentina is aiming to finalize terms with Atalanta today. The two clubs are discussing the conditions for a potential loan deal with an obligation to buy, focusing on the number of appearances required to trigger the permanent transfer. The proposed fee for Zaniolo is believed to be in the range of €16-17 million.
Zaniolo is currently on loan at Atalanta from Turkish club Galatasaray. If the transfer to Fiorentina materializes, Atalanta is considering Daniel Maldini of Monza as a potential replacement for the Italian international.
These potential signings could significantly strengthen Fiorentina’s squad as they look to improve their standing in Serie A and push for European qualification.
