Fiorentina has scheduled a meeting with Moise Kean`s representative this week to propose an enhanced contract that would nearly double his current wages and modify his release clause.
The Italian striker had kept the club in suspense over the past couple of weeks during the period when his €52 million release clause was active. However, only Saudi Pro League clubs Al-Qadsiah and Al-Hilal were willing to trigger it, which Kean declined to entertain at this stage of his career.
Kean Committed to Fiorentina
With the clause now expired, Fiorentina is eager to secure Kean`s future. According to reports, the club will meet with agent Alessandro Lucci in the coming days to discuss a new agreement.
The proposed contract would see Kean`s salary increase substantially from €2.2 million to €4 million per year. Additionally, the release clause is likely to be renegotiated, potentially being raised to reflect Kean`s recent performances.
The 25-year-old forward has been in impressive form, scoring 19 goals in 32 Serie A appearances last season following his transfer from Juventus.
This move by Fiorentina demonstrates their commitment to retaining Kean and their recognition of his value to the team. The negotiations will be crucial in determining the player`s long-term future with the club.
