Fiorentina’s Edoardo Bove to Make Special Appearance at Sanremo Music Festival
Serie A player Edoardo Bove is set to join the list of guest stars at the Sanremo Music Festival. The Fiorentina midfielder will take the stage at the Ariston Theatre during the grand finale on Saturday, February 15th. Bove will present one of the competing songs and engage in a brief interview with host Carlo Conti, a known Fiorentina supporter.
Born in 2002, Bove recently moved from Roma to Fiorentina on a loan deal last summer. The agreement included a purchase option of 10.5 million euros, which would become mandatory if the player participated in 60% of matches this season. Since joining the Viola, Bove has made 15 appearances and scored one goal against his former club Roma in a league match.
On December 1, 2024, Bove experienced a health scare during a home game against Inter. The match was suspended when the player suffered a cardiac arrest on the field. He was rushed to Careggi Hospital in Florence, where he received intensive care and underwent surgery to implant a subcutaneous cardiac defibrillator. The rescheduled match on February 5, 2025, saw Fiorentina secure a 3-0 victory.
Bove’s appearance at the Sanremo Music Festival marks a significant moment in his recovery and return to the public eye following this life-threatening incident.
