Former Scout: Andoni Iraola May Bring £46M Premier League Star to Tottenham

Reports suggest Tottenham Hotspur are considering Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola as a potential replacement for Ange Postecoglou. The Australian coach is under increasing pressure following a disappointing 2024/25 season that sees Spurs languishing in 14th place in the Premier League table.

Tottenham have suffered 15 league defeats, a record surpassed only by the bottom four teams. This poor performance has led to speculation about Postecoglou’s future at the club. According to The Athletic, Iraola has emerged as the leading candidate to take over should Postecoglou depart.

The 42-year-old Spanish coach has impressed with Bournemouth this season, keeping the team competitive despite injury setbacks. There’s even a possibility of European qualification for the Cherries.

With rumors circulating about Iraola’s potential move to North London, speculation has begun about which players he might bring with him. Bryan King, a former Tottenham scout, told Tottenham News that Bournemouth winger Justin Kluivert could follow Iraola to Spurs.

Kluivert, valued at around £46 million, has been a standout performer in the Premier League this season with 12 goals and 6 assists. King believes Iraola may look to bring the Dutch international to Tottenham if he takes charge.

“If Iraola goes to Spurs, he could bring Kluivert with him,” King said. “However, it’s all speculation at this point. Until a decision is made about Postecoglou’s future, we’ll have to wait and see what happens.”
