Franck Haise has reiterated his commitment to OGC Nice amidst ongoing discussions about a potential transfer to Stade Rennais. Throughout the season, rumors have circulated regarding Rennes’ interest in Haise. His name was mentioned in connection with the Rennes managerial position both after Julien Stéphan’s departure in late 2024 and again following Jorge Sampaoli’s exit earlier this year, just shortly after he joined Nice.
These links are understandable, given Haise’s close working relationship with Arnaud Pouille from their time together at RC Lens. Pouille served as General Manager when Haise was at the club, and both left Lens last summer. Pouille has been the president at Rennes since October.
Even with Habib Beye’s appointment as manager and the team’s strong performance, rumors of a Haise-Pouille reunion at Roazhon Park persist. This is especially true as Laurent Bessière, a member of Nice’s technical staff, is expected to join the Breton club at the end of the current season.
Speaking at a press conference, Haise addressed these rumors directly, aiming to put them to rest once again. “I won’t disclose the clubs that approached me during the summer. However, I will tell you that I am very content at Nice. I am stating it, repeating it, and will continue to reiterate it,” he declared.
