Italian sources suggest that midfielder Davide Frattesi is contemplating a departure from Inter Milan during the upcoming transfer window if Simone Inzaghi remains as head coach. This follows a reported disagreement between the player and manager after Inter`s crushing 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final in Munich.
The Nerazzurri suffered the most severe loss in European Cup final history, leaving the team in shock. Frattesi, who was left on the bench for the entire match, expressed frustration with Inzaghi`s decision not to play him.
Frattesi Ready to Leave if Inzaghi Stays
Italian media reports that Frattesi confronted Inzaghi about his exclusion from the Champions League final. Despite being mainly a substitute since joining Inter from Sassuolo in 2023, Frattesi has made significant contributions, including crucial goals in the Champions League quarter-final and semi-final matches against Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
The 25-year-old midfielder`s disappointment with his lack of involvement in the final has reportedly led him to consider leaving the club if Inzaghi remains in charge. Italian sources claim Frattesi is “100% certain” to depart under these circumstances.
Frattesi has been linked with a potential move to Serie A champions Napoli. Inter Milan reportedly values the player at around €40 million.
