Furlani: AC Milan Focused on Selecting Right People for Key Roles
AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani has emphasized the club’s commitment to carefully selecting the right individuals for crucial roles within the organization. This statement comes in the wake of recent developments, including the breakdown of talks with Fabio Paratici for the sporting director position.
Speaking to the media, Furlani stated, “Our priority is to prepare for the upcoming season by choosing the most suitable people for each role. We are seeking individuals who can contribute to our success and help Milan win.”
When questioned about the possibility of bringing in more Italian staff, Furlani responded, “The most important factor is finding the right person for the job. Of course, we will carefully consider the Italian context, given our league and location.”
Regarding the future of current head coach Sergio Conceicao, Furlani remained noncommittal, saying, “Sergio is our coach at present. We are concentrating on finishing the season strongly. Unless circumstances change, he remains our coach.”
The CEO also addressed inquiries about the club’s hierarchy for the next season, including the roles of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Geoffrey Moncada. However, he declined to provide specific details, stating it was premature to discuss such matters.
As Milan prepares for a crucial match against Fiorentina in their pursuit of European qualification, Furlani’s comments suggest a period of careful consideration and potential changes ahead for the Rossoneri.
