Galeone: Allegri Rejects Milan, Warns Napoli About Conte’s Future
Giovanni Galeone, mentor to Massimiliano Allegri, has disclosed that the renowned Italian coach will not be returning to AC Milan. Additionally, he cautioned Napoli to be vigilant about retaining Antonio Conte, hinting at potential interest from Juventus.
Despite speculation linking Allegri to Milan as a potential replacement for Sergio Conceiçao in the 2025-26 season, Galeone revealed that Allegri himself has denied any such possibility. “I recently spoke with Massimiliano, and he assured me he has no intention of joining Milan. He also confirmed that there has been no contact with the club,” Galeone stated in an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss.
Galeone also addressed the situation surrounding Antonio Conte at Napoli. “Napoli supporters should do everything in their power to keep Conte, but they should be wary of Juventus,” he warned. “Conte’s future at Napoli is far from certain. Remember, he has previously left both Juventus and Inter Milan shortly after winning Serie A titles with them.”
Conte, who joined Napoli last summer on a contract until 2027, is reportedly Juventus’ top choice for the coaching position in the 2025-26 season. The former Juventus midfielder has an impressive record, having secured four Serie A titles as a manager – three with Juventus and one with Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, Allegri has been unattached since his departure from Juventus in May 2024, despite having a year remaining on his contract at the time.
