Former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique responded to Real Madrid’s complaint to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) regarding the refereeing in their La Liga match against Espanyol.
According to SI, Pique stated, “The statement is just a smokescreen because they have been doing it for 120 years. When things don’t go their way, they turn on the ‘machine’ and put pressure on the media and referees.”
Real Madrid club published a letter on their official website to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) with a complaint and requested the audio recording of conversations between the main referee and VAR referees.
