Giampaolo: "No Need to Panic, We Reset and Restart"

Lecce will host Milan at Via del Mare in the 28th matchday of Serie A. For Marco Giampaolo, Lecce’s coach, this game is against his former team, as he managed Milan for the first seven games of the 2019/20 season.

Before the match, Giampaolo spoke to DAZN and made the following statements:

GOAL SCORING ISSUES – "It’s true, we haven’t scored in the last few games, but I told the team that we shouldn’t panic, as that would become a serious problem. On the positive side, we have conceded fewer goals. We regret not scoring a couple of goals that could have earned us a few more points. We need to reset and restart. Every game is an opportunity to disprove the statistics."

WANTS MORE FROM MIDFIELDERS – "In Florence, Helgason was unavailable, and Berisha was the player who best matched his characteristics. Berisha’s role is that one. We are getting Helgason back in that position, who has contributed a lot, to have a bit more verticality, a player with better qualities to serve Krstovic."
