Girona 1-2 Sevilla: La Liga Match Result – January 18, 2025
Sevilla secured an important 2-1 away victory against Girona in the 20th round of La Liga on January 18, 2025.
The home side took the lead in the first half through defender Arnau Martinez. However, Sevilla equalized before halftime with a goal from midfielder Saul Niguez. The visitors then grabbed a late winner in the 88th minute when Dodi Lukebakio found the back of the net.
Sevilla striker Isaac Romero had a chance to open the scoring early on but failed to convert from the penalty spot.
With this result, Girona remain in 8th place on 28 points. Sevilla move up to 9th in the La Liga standings, now on 26 points.
