Ibrahimovic: Milan Improving Despite Champions League Setback
AC Milan special advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic addressed the team’s Champions League exit following their 2-1 aggregate loss to Feyenoord. Speaking to Italian media, Ibrahimovic acknowledged the disappointment but remained optimistic about Milan’s future.
“We’re understandably frustrated and upset about the result,” Ibrahimovic stated. “Theo Hernandez’s red card was unfortunate and showed our lack of experience in that moment. However, our focus now is on staying united as we continue competing in Serie A and Coppa Italia.”
When asked about coach Sergio Conceicao’s job security, Ibrahimovic expressed confidence: “Conceicao is doing well since taking over. While we’re not yet at our peak, we’re making steady progress. The club fully supports him.”
Ibrahimovic emphasized that despite the setback, Milan is on an upward trajectory: “We’re improving with each match. This elimination is a learning experience that will help us grow stronger as a team.”
The Swedish football legend concluded by calling for patience from supporters: “Building a championship-caliber squad takes time. We’re moving in the right direction and I’m confident success will come if we stay the course.”
