Ignatieff: Ancelotti’s Departure Won’t Be a Tragedy for Real Madrid
Boris Ignatieff, the former head coach of the Russian national team, has shared his perspective on Carlo Ancelotti’s potential departure from Real Madrid. Ignatieff believes that the club will be able to find a successful replacement if Ancelotti decides to leave.
“If Ancelotti departs, Real Madrid will undoubtedly find another successful coach to take his place,” Ignatieff stated. He pointed out that Real Madrid has consistently maintained top positions even without Ancelotti, and the club has had other skilled managers in the past. Ignatieff drew a parallel with Barcelona, noting that both clubs rarely fall below a certain level of performance.
The former coach emphasized that Ancelotti’s departure would not be a catastrophe for Real Madrid. However, he stressed the importance of making the right choice when selecting a new manager. Ignatieff praised the club’s organizational structure, stating, “The most crucial aspect is not to make a mistake in choosing the new coach, but their recruitment process is already operating at a high level.”
According to reports from Onda Cero, Ancelotti has made the decision to leave the club at the end of the 2024/25 season.
