Negotiations between Inter Milan and Cagliari have intensified regarding the transfer of Sebastiano Esposito. The two clubs are reportedly nearing an agreement for a loan deal with an obligation to buy, valued at approximately €7 million.
Following initial discussions and a sudden surge of interest from Cagliari, the talks have progressed significantly. Both parties are now engaged in detailed negotiations, moving closer to finalizing the terms of the transfer.
Esposito Poised for New Challenge at Cagliari
The 23-year-old striker spent the previous season on loan at Empoli, where he demonstrated his potential by scoring eight goals in 33 Serie A appearances, along with two goals in four Coppa Italia matches.
Given that Esposito`s current contract with Inter is set to expire in June 2026, the Nerazzurri would need to extend his contract before sanctioning the move. This extension would enable Cagliari to secure Esposito on a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option at the end of the season, totaling around €7 million.
The potential sale of Esposito could provide Inter with additional funds to strengthen their bid for Ademola Lookman, potentially meeting Atalanta`s valuation of the player.
