Inter Assistant Coach Farris Reflects on Parma Draw
Massimiliano Farris, standing in for the suspended Simone Inzaghi as Inter Milan’s assistant coach, shared his thoughts with DAZN following the team’s 2-2 draw away at Parma.
Farris acknowledged the match had two distinct phases: “We’ll need to analyze this with the players. As soon as we eased off, we conceded. We started well in the first half, but made some errors after the break. We’ve had many demanding games lately, and we struggled to find the mental and physical energy to contain our opponents. This shouldn’t happen.”
Regarding substitutions, Farris explained: “We prepare for each game individually. Some players may have been affected by the derby, and we’re playing frequently. The substitutions didn’t change the game; Parma did their best to get back into it. We shouldn’t have given them the opportunity to reopen the match.”
On maintaining intensity with a busy schedule, Farris said: “Our instruction at halftime was to start strong again. Nothing significant happened in the first 10 minutes of the second half. We needed to be more careful not to allow that spark that revived the game. This team’s great strength is its ability to focus match by match.”
Concerning Bastoni’s condition, Farris reassured: “With so many games, these things can happen. Bastoni’s injury doesn’t seem serious. Now we’re focusing on Bayern Munich and will aim to give 100% for that match.”
