Inter Confident Bastoni Will Be Available for Bayern Munich Match
According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni underwent individual training this morning following an injury scare. Despite this, the club remains optimistic about his availability for Tuesday’s crucial Champions League encounter with Bayern Munich.
The Italian international was substituted at halftime during Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Parma due to a suspected knee issue. Sky Sport journalist Matteo Barzaghi provided an update on Bastoni’s condition Sunday morning, revealing that the defender trained separately from his teammates after the Parma match.
Bastoni’s status will continue to be monitored closely on Monday, the day before the match. However, the current assessment of his condition is not causing significant concern, leading Inter to believe he will be fit to participate in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
This season, Bastoni has been a key player for the defending Serie A champions, contributing one goal and five assists across 43 appearances.
While Inter are likely to be without Denzel Dumfries and Piotr Zielinski for the Munich trip, there is positive news regarding Lautaro Martinez. The striker has recovered from his recent injury and already featured in the starting lineup against Parma on Saturday.
