Inter has officially announced a serious injury to midfielder Piotr Zielinski. The Polish footballer is likely to miss the rest of the season. The incident occurred in the Serie A match against Monza, where Inter won 3-2.
Zielinski came on as a substitute in the second half for Mkhitaryan, but soon felt pain in his calf muscle and was replaced by Correa just minutes after appearing on the field.

A medical examination conducted on Monday at the Humanitas clinic revealed damage to the medial ligament of the right calf muscle in the 30-year-old player.
Forecasts indicate that Zielinski will miss at least two months, casting doubt on his return to the field before the end of the current 2024-2025 season. His return is likely to occur no earlier than the FIFA Club World Cup in June.
