Inter Milan has received a significant boost as Marcus Thuram and Davide Frattesi have returned to individual training. The news comes as the team prepares for their upcoming Club World Cup match against Fluminense on Monday evening.
According to reports, both players resumed training on Friday as Inter arrived in Charlotte, North Carolina for the next phase of their Club World Cup campaign. While the rest of the team had a day off, Thuram and Frattesi were assessed and allowed to familiarize themselves with Charlotte FC`s training facilities, which will host the Nerazzurri.
In the attacking lineup, Pio Esposito is expected to start alongside Lautaro Martinez once again.
Inter`s preparation for Fluminense clash
The match against Brazilian side Fluminense is scheduled for Monday, June 30 at 20:00 UK time (21:00 CEST). Both teams remain undefeated in the tournament so far.
Despite a slow start in their opening 1-1 draw with Mexican club Monterrey, Inter have bounced back with two consecutive victories. Meanwhile, Fluminense has defeated Ulsan and held both Mamelodi Sundowns and Borussia Dortmund to goalless draws.
The return of Thuram and Frattesi provides coach Cristian Chivu with additional options as Inter aims to continue their strong performance in the Club World Cup.
