Inter Face Udinese in Coppa Italia Round of 16 Clash
Inter Milan are set to take on Udinese in the Coppa Italia Round of 16 on Thursday evening. Manager Simone Inzaghi has made significant changes to the team that defeated Lazio 6-0 earlier this week, rotating eight players in the starting lineup.
Josep Martinez gets the nod in goal, while Matteo Darmian replaces Stefan De Vrij in defense. The midfield sees a complete overhaul, with Tajon Buchanan, Davide Frattesi, Kristjan Asllani, Piotr Zielinski and Carlos Augusto all coming into the side. Up front, Marko Arnautovic and Mehdi Taremi start in place of Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez.
For Udinese, the big news is Alexis Sanchez starting as striker. This marks his first appearance for Udinese in 13 years since rejoining the club last summer. Manager Kosta Runjaic has also made several changes, though Lorenzo Lucca and Jaka Bijol retain their spots in the lineup.
Confirmed Lineups
Inter (3-5-2): Martinez; Darmian, Bisseck, Bastoni; Buchanan, Frattesi, Asllani, Zielinski, Carlos Augusto; Taremi, Arnautovic
Udinese (3-5-2): Piana; Kabasele, Bijol, Tourè; Rui Modesto, Atta, Karlstrom, Ekkelenkamp, Kamara; Sanchez, Lucca
