Inter Milan Gains Advantage as Bayern Munich Suffers Double Injury Blow
Bayern Munich has confirmed that two of their crucial players, Alphonso Davies and Dayot Upamecano, will be sidelined due to injuries. This development may provide a significant advantage to Simone Inzaghi and Inter Milan as they prepare for the upcoming Champions League quarter-finals.
Bayern’s Defensive Woes Ahead of Inter Clash
The German club announced that Alphonso Davies has suffered a severe anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during a recent international match. This unfortunate incident will keep him out of action for the remainder of the current season and a substantial part of the next one.
Additionally, Dayot Upamecano has sustained a knee injury, though less severe than Davies’. Nevertheless, he is expected to miss several weeks of play, likely ruling him out for both legs of the quarter-final tie against Inter.
Reports suggest that Raphael Guerreiro is the probable replacement for Davies at left-back, while either Eric Dier or Hiroki Ito may step in for Upamecano in the central defense.
The first leg of the Champions League quarter-final between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich is scheduled for April 8 at the Allianz Arena. The return leg will take place at San Siro on April 16, where Inter will look to capitalize on Bayern’s defensive challenges.
