Inter Milan Injury Report: Mixed News for Key Players
Inter Milan received a mix of positive and negative injury updates following Thursday’s training session under Simone Inzaghi. There’s hope for Lautaro Martinez’s return in the next Serie A fixture, but Denzel Dumfries is expected to be sidelined longer than initially thought.
Lautaro Martinez Eyes Comeback, Dumfries Faces Setback
Reports suggest that Lautaro Martinez resumed training on Thursday after recovering from an injury that kept him out of Argentina’s matches during the March international break. He also missed Inter’s 2-1 victory over Udinese and the 1-1 Coppa Italia draw with AC Milan. The Nerazzurri captain could potentially return to the squad, or even the starting lineup, for the upcoming Serie A match against Parma, though his participation is not yet confirmed.
Federico Dimarco did not train with the main group on Thursday and was unused in Wednesday’s Coppa Italia match against Milan. The Italian international has been dealing with muscle fatigue following a recent injury. As a precautionary measure, the medical staff granted him a day off to avoid unnecessary risks. Dimarco is expected to rejoin training on Friday, as is Marko Arnautovic.
Earlier reports on Thursday confirmed that Denzel Dumfries will be out of action for an additional three to four weeks due to an injury sustained before the March international break.
