Inter Milan Players and Coach Questioned in Ultras Case
New information has come to light regarding the ongoing ultras case involving Inter Milan. Recent reports reveal details from the police interrogations of head coach Simone Inzaghi and midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu about their communications with ultras group leaders.
During questioning, Inzaghi admitted to acting as an intermediary between the club and ultras leader Marco Ferdico. He stated, “I recall discussing the phone call with some of the management team. I was hopeful the issue would be resolved positively, as I needed fan support to win the final in Istanbul.” Inzaghi also confirmed sending a message to Ferdico saying he had done his part.
Calhanoglu acknowledged meeting with ultras members despite being instructed by the club not to do so. He explained, “I met Ferdico seven or eight times for drinks. He usually came alone, but sometimes with his father or others.” Calhanoglu also mentioned encounters with other ultras figures, including Antonio Bellocco and someone called “Ciak.”
Both Inzaghi and Calhanoglu described their interactions with ultras leaders as casual meetings focused on team performance and fan support. They emphasized the importance of fan backing for the team’s success. However, these revelations raise questions about the appropriate boundaries between club personnel and supporter groups.
The investigation continues as authorities seek to fully understand the nature and extent of these relationships between Inter Milan staff and ultras leaders.
