Reports suggest that Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is considering resting their captain and key striker, Lautaro Martinez, for their Serie A game against Monza this Saturday. Joaquin Correa is tipped to start alongside Marcus Thuram.
Correa in for Lautaro, Bastoni at wing-back position for Inter
According to Sky Sport Italia, Inter might make several changes for the Monza match, especially with the crucial Champions League second leg against Feyenoord approaching on Tuesday.
Both Thuram and Martinez scored in Inter’s 2-0 victory over Feyenoord on Wednesday, giving them a strong advantage for the return game at San Siro.
Before the Champions League clash, they face Monza, currently 20th in Serie A. Sky Sports indicates Martinez will likely be rested, and Correa is the frontrunner to partner Thuram in attack.

Inter could also receive a midfield boost for the Monza game with Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan potentially returning to the starting lineup. In the Feyenoord match, Piotr Zielinski and Kristjan Asllani played alongside Nicolo Barella in midfield.

At wing-back, Inter still have injury concerns as Federico Dimarco is still out. While Nicola Zalewski and Carlos Augusto might be available, Alessandro Bastoni is expected to continue as left wing-back.
