Inter Milan Targets Luis Henrique Amid Bayern Munich Interest
Inter Milan has taken concrete steps to secure the signature of Brazilian winger Luis Henrique from Olympique Marseille. The Italian club is preparing to initiate negotiations, aiming to outmaneuver Bayern Munich in the race for the player’s services.
Reports suggest that Inter has prioritized Henrique in recent weeks, with the goal of finalizing a deal before the commencement of the Club World Cup. German transfer expert Florian Plettenberg confirmed on Monday that Inter has officially entered the competition for Henrique, with a proposed offer of €29 million, including add-ons, for the 23-year-old talent.
Challenges in Securing the Deal
However, Inter faces two significant obstacles in their pursuit of Henrique. Firstly, Olympique Marseille values the player at a minimum of €35 million, which may necessitate protracted negotiations to reach an agreement. Notably, Marseille’s sporting director, Mehdi Benatia, was recently spotted at San Siro, presumably to discuss terms with Inter officials.
Secondly, Bayern Munich remains a formidable competitor for Henrique’s signature. Plettenberg reported that the German giants are “seriously interested” in the player, with their directors engaging in talks with Henrique’s representatives. Bayern believes the Brazilian could play a crucial role in their squad for the upcoming season.
As the transfer saga unfolds, both Inter Milan and Bayern Munich will be keen to secure the services of Luis Henrique, who has caught the attention of top European clubs with his performances for Olympique Marseille.
