Recent reports suggest that Inter Milan is considering Benfica`s Turkish midfielder Orkan Kokcu as a potential replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu, should the latter depart this summer.
Kokcu Emerges as Calhanoglu`s Possible Successor
Calhanoglu has been linked with a move to Galatasaray, who are reportedly prepared to offer the Inter midfielder a lucrative contract worth approximately €10 million per season.
While several names have been associated with Inter as potential replacements for Calhanoglu, including Nicolo Rovella and Ederson, reports from Portugal and Italy confirm that Kokcu has also caught the attention of Cristian Chivu and his team.
It is understood that Benfica would consider offers around €40 million or higher for the 24-year-old midfielder.
However, Inter faces competition for Kokcu`s signature. The top three Turkish clubs – Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, and Besiktas – have all expressed interest in the player. Additionally, Serie A rivals Milan and Roma are also monitoring the situation.
There are also unconfirmed reports of interest from several Premier League clubs.
