Inter Milan Weighs Options to Sell Three Strikers as Taremi’s Performance Raises Concerns

Reports suggest that Inter Milan is contemplating the sale of three forwards during the upcoming transfer window, with Mehdi Taremi’s future at the club in question just a year after his free transfer from Porto.

Taremi is expected to start for Inter in their crucial match against Juventus this weekend, as Marcus Thuram and Marko Arnautovic are doubtful due to injuries. Despite his consistent goal-scoring record in Portugal before joining Inter, the Iranian striker has struggled to find the net regularly this season, scoring only three times across all competitions, with just one goal in 18 Serie A appearances.

Italian media reports suggest that Inter’s new ownership group, Oaktree, is not convinced by Taremi’s performances. His high salary and limited resale value at 32 years old are cited as concerns. There are even claims that Oaktree would not have approved Taremi’s signing had they taken control of the club earlier.

As a result, Taremi’s departure from Inter this summer is now considered a real possibility. Additionally, the club is reportedly seeking potential buyers for both Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa ahead of the transfer window.

This development highlights Inter’s potential strategy to reshape their attacking options for the upcoming season, as they look to balance financial considerations with on-field performance.
