According to reports from Belgium, Inter Milan made an unexpected attempt to sign Ardon Jashari from Club Brugge, despite the player being a primary target for their city rivals AC Milan. The Nerazzurri allegedly offered midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic plus €30 million for Jashari during a meeting with Club Brugge directors.
The meeting, which took place in Milan, was primarily focused on discussing a potential transfer for Stankovic to Club Brugge. Inter is willing to sell the young midfielder, provided they retain a buy-back option in the deal.
Inter and Milan Competing for Jashari`s Signature
Belgian transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri claims that Inter attempted to outmaneuver Milan by proposing the Stankovic-plus-cash deal for Jashari. However, this approach faced two significant obstacles:
- Club Brugge is reluctant to sell Jashari at all.
- Jashari, being a lifelong AC Milan supporter, is only interested in joining the Rossoneri.
In addition to the Jashari bid, Inter reportedly made another offer to Club Brugge. They proposed Stankovic plus €22 million for Ecuador international defender Joel Ordonez.
These developments highlight the intense competition between Inter and Milan in the transfer market, as both clubs seek to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season.
