Motherwell`s head coach Jens Berthel Askou has confirmed that interest in their young midfielder Lennon Miller is becoming more serious, with Italian clubs Bologna and Udinese reportedly keen on bringing the Scottish talent to Serie A.

Askou stated in a recent press conference: “There is significant interest in Lennon from various clubs, and it`s becoming more concrete and specific with each passing day.” This comes after reports in July that Bologna was actively pursuing a deal for Miller, while Udinese maintained their interest.

If Miller were to join Bologna, he would team up with fellow Scotsman Lewis Ferguson. A move to Italy would also see him join other Scottish players in Serie A, including Scott McTominay, Billy Gilmour, Che Adams, and Josh Doig.

The 18-year-old Miller has been dealing with a minor injury during pre-season training, but there`s still a possibility he could be included in Motherwell`s squad for their Scottish Premiership opener against Rangers on Saturday.

As the transfer window progresses, it seems increasingly likely that Miller could be the next young Scottish talent to make the move to Italian football, following in the footsteps of several of his compatriots who have found success in Serie A.
