Inzaghi Gives Injury Report on Inter Squad Ahead of Barcelona Match

Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi has revealed that nearly all of his first-team players are available for the upcoming Champions League semi-final first leg against Barcelona. The match is scheduled for Wednesday night at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, with kickoff at 20:00 BST.

The victorious team will advance to face either Arsenal or PSG in the final at the end of May.

Inzaghi’s Update on Inter Players’ Fitness

During his pre-match press conference on Tuesday evening, Inzaghi confirmed that everyone except Benjamin Pavard would be available for selection against Barcelona. However, there is still uncertainty surrounding Marcus Thuram, who has been sidelined for the past three matches due to an adductor injury but rejoined team training on Tuesday.

Inzaghi stated, “Thuram participated in his first team training session today. We haven’t had him since the Bayern match. We’ve made good progress, and he showed positive signs, but I need to assess him again tomorrow morning and will speak with him further.”

Regarding defensive options, Inzaghi added, “Apart from Pavard, everyone else is available. I can field Bisseck, Darmian, or even De Vrij as the third defender.”

Commenting on Federico Dimarco’s condition, Inzaghi said, “Federico is doing well. The team is in good physical shape overall. He had an issue but remained available and has played some excellent games. He will start tomorrow, and we’ll see how the match progresses.”
