Inter Milan head coach Simone Inzaghi expressed gratitude towards the club’s supporters, management, and players after receiving the prestigious Panchina d’Oro award for the 2023-24 season. The accolade, voted on by fellow coaches across Italian football, recognizes Inzaghi as the top manager in Italy.

This marks Inzaghi’s first Panchina d’Oro and Inter’s first since Antonio Conte’s win in 2020-21. The award has a rich history with the club, as Jose Mourinho also claimed it during his tenure in 2009-10.

Upon accepting the honor, Inzaghi emphasized the collective effort behind Inter’s success: “This award belongs to the entire Inter family. From our passionate fans to my dedicated staff, the management, owners, and of course, our players – they are all essential to our achievements.”

Looking ahead, Inzaghi addressed the challenging schedule facing Inter as they compete on multiple fronts: “We’re entering a critical phase with matches every three days across domestic and European competitions. However, this is precisely the position we aimed to be in by late March. We’re contending for every available trophy, and we’ll approach each challenge with great enthusiasm.”

Inter currently lead Serie A and have advanced to the Coppa Italia semi-finals, where they will face local rivals AC Milan. Additionally, they are set to take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals, keeping their treble aspirations alive.
