Inzaghi: Inter Milan push beyond limits to defeat Bayern Munich

Inzaghi praises team effort and resilience

“I’m grateful to these players for giving their all tonight,” Inzaghi told reporters. “Despite some absences, we didn’t let it show thanks to everyone’s contribution. The entire Inter squad has helped us compete on all fronts this season.”

Inzaghi highlighted the team’s ability to push beyond their limits, noting they have played 47 matches but continue to work hard despite fatigue. He acknowledged the challenges of managing player fitness and rotations due to injuries.

“We’re facing difficulties with player availability, but we knew this could happen,” Inzaghi explained. “Now we must focus on player recovery and understanding who needs rest.”

While pleased with the victory, Inzaghi emphasized the quality of Inter’s performance against a strong Bayern side. “We shouldn’t focus solely on the result, but on how we played against a great opponent,” he stated. “We were excellent from start to finish.”

Inzaghi reminded everyone that this was only the first leg, with the return match to be played at San Siro. He cautioned that there is still work to be done to reach the semi-finals, but expressed satisfaction with the team’s current form and determination.
