Thiago Motta’s position as Juventus coach is uncertain. If Juventus decides to replace him before the Club World Cup, they are expected to hire a permanent coach, not an interim one, who will also manage the team in the 2025-26 season.
Juventus aims to participate in the upcoming Club World Cup with a long-term coach. Consequently, any decision to dismiss Thiago Motta before the tournament, starting on June 14, would lead to the appointment of a coach prepared to lead the club into the following season as well.
Reports suggest that the coach leading Juventus in the Club World Cup will also be the coach for the subsequent season.

It remains uncertain whether Motta will remain in charge for the Club World Cup.
Recent reports in Italy suggest that securing Champions League qualification might not be sufficient for Motta to keep his position, despite his contract running until 2027.
Stefano Pioli, former coach of Milan, is reportedly considered a potential candidate to succeed Motta next season, alongside other coaches like Antonio Conte, Gian Piero Gasperini, and Roberto De Zerbi.
It is also suggested that Gian Piero Gasperini is currently the leading candidate.
Furthermore, a poor result in the upcoming match against Fiorentina could potentially lead to Motta’s dismissal. In such a scenario, Massimo Brambilla, coach of Juventus NextGen, and Francesco Magnanelli, U20 boss, are considered as temporary replacements for the remaining games of the season and leading up to the Club World Cup.
