Reports from Wednesday indicate that Juventus is expressing interest in securing a deal with Hellas Verona for Diego Coppola, a young defender who represents Italy at the U21 level. Coppola is being considered as a potential replacement for Renato Veiga in Juventus’ squad for the upcoming Club World Cup.
Juventus Reportedly Pursuing Coppola Deal with Verona
Sources suggest that Juventus views the 21-year-old Verona center-back, Coppola, as a relatively affordable acquisition. This is despite his estimated value doubling during the current 2024-25 season.
It is understood that Coppola’s valuation was around €6 million in the previous summer transfer window. However, Verona is now expected to seek a transfer fee in the range of €12 million to €15 million in the upcoming transfer period.

Juventus scouts reportedly paid close attention to Coppola’s performance during their recent 2-0 Serie A victory over Verona on Monday night.
It has been reported that Juventus will need to act quickly if they wish to avoid a potential bidding war with other Serie A clubs, or possibly teams from abroad.
Juventus is said to be aiming to finalize a deal for a new defender before the Club World Cup this summer. It is anticipated that coach Thiago Motta will be without Gleison Bremer, Juan Cabal, and Renato Veiga for the tournament, with Veiga’s loan spell concluding at the end of June.
