Ahead of the match between Juventus and Atalanta, Juventus coach Thiago Motta was interviewed by DAZN.
He emphasized the importance of player responsibility and the need to fully unleash their potential on the field to avoid giving an advantage to the opponent. Motta noted that the team must play with both head and heart, while maintaining composure and the ability to analyze the flow of the game.
When asked about his feelings about the team, Motta replied that the players continue to play in the same manner, but acknowledged that excessive haste at the end could allow the opponent to counter-attack. He also stressed that the upcoming game will be different, and Juventus does not intend to constantly play through the goalkeeper, aiming to find optimal solutions in attack.
Motta highlighted the importance of balance, considering Atalanta’s strengths in the form of Lookman, Cuadrado, and Retegui, who are fast and creative. According to him, Juventus needs to attack effectively and anticipate the opponent’s actions to avoid trouble.
