Juventus Nears Loan Deal for Lens Defender Kevin Danso
Italian giants Juventus are on the verge of securing a loan agreement for Lens defender Kevin Danso, according to recent reports. The 26-year-old Austrian international is set to join the Serie A club on a temporary basis until the season’s end, with negotiations centered around a package valued at up to €4 million.
The Turin-based team appears to have edged out competition from both Rennes and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the pursuit of Danso’s signature. While Wolves had been in talks with Lens throughout the January transfer window, it’s understood that Danso was hesitant about a move to the Premier League side.
Juventus’ offer includes an initial loan fee of €2.5 million, which could increase to €4 million if certain performance targets are met. The potential inclusion of a purchase option in the agreement remains unclear at this stage.
This development marks a significant move for Danso, who previously spent time on loan in England with Southampton. His imminent transfer to Juventus represents a step up to one of Europe’s most prestigious clubs and provides him with an opportunity to showcase his talents in Serie A.
