Juventus is still in the process of finalizing a new contract agreement with Kenan Yildiz, remaining optimistic about their ability to resist interest from top clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal, and Barcelona.
The Turkish prodigy, who joined Juventus as a free agent from Bayern Munich`s youth academy in 2022, has flourished since his arrival, earning the iconic number 10 jersey for the senior squad. Despite only turning 20 in May, Yildiz`s current contract runs until June 2029, but Juventus has been engaged in months-long negotiations to secure him with a more lucrative deal.
Recent reports suggest a slowdown in these talks, despite earlier indications that an agreement was imminent. The proposed new contract would triple Yildiz`s current salary of €1.5 million per season and extend his commitment to June 2030, the maximum contract length allowed in Italy.
Juventus remains confident that Yildiz will sign the new deal, resisting offers from abroad. Reports indicate that Arsenal might be willing to offer €55 million plus Gabriel Jesus for the Turkish starlet, while Chelsea reportedly had a €70 million bid rejected by Juventus in July.
This season, Yildiz has already contributed two goals and four assists in eight appearances for Juventus across Serie A and Champions League matches, demonstrating his value to the team.
As negotiations continue, all eyes are on Juventus and Yildiz to see if they can reach an agreement that will keep the promising young talent in Turin for the foreseeable future.
