Juventus Player Mbangula Bids Farewell to Coach Motta
Samuel Mbangula, a young forward for Juventus, has taken to Instagram to express his appreciation for departing coach Thiago Motta and his staff. In his story, Mbangula wrote, “Thank you for everything, coach. I can never thank you enough for trusting me from day one and allowing me to realize part of my dream – the most important part! You’ve always wanted the best for us since you arrived and you’ve shown it. I wish you all the best for the future!”
Thiago Motta was relieved of his duties as Juventus coach on Sunday, with Igor Tudor taking over the position. As of now, Mbangula is the only player from the Juventus squad to publicly thank and bid farewell to the former coach on social media.
Despite recently seeing less playing time, the young Belgian winger, born in 2004, received significant trust from the Italian-Brazilian coach early in the season. Motta surprisingly included Mbangula in the starting lineup for the first Serie A match of the season against Como, which resulted in a goal and an assist from the young player.
Under Motta’s management, Mbangula made a total of 30 appearances this season, playing 1,075 minutes and contributing four goals and five assists. Now, the young talent will need to earn the trust of the new coach, who has a proven track record of working well with young players.
