Juventus Player Yildiz Suspended for Two Matches
Juventus will be without young forward Kenan Yildiz for their upcoming matches against Bologna and Lazio due to a two-game suspension handed down by Serie A’s disciplinary committee.
The 18-year-old Turkish international was shown a red card in Juventus’ recent match against Monza for elbowing an opponent in the face just before halftime. As punishment, Yildiz has been given a two-match ban and fined €10,000.
This suspension comes at an inopportune time for Juventus, as they will be without one of their most promising young talents for two crucial matches in their pursuit of a Champions League spot. Manager Igor Tudor will need to adjust his lineup accordingly in Yildiz’s absence.
In addition to Yildiz, nine other players received one-match suspensions for various infractions, including Ghilardi, Grassi, Carboni, Coppola, Ehizibue, Henderson, Lazaro, Payero and Ranieri.
Notably, there was no mention of any disciplinary action regarding a alleged blasphemous expression by Inter’s Yann Bisseck during their match against Roma. Additionally, Lecce did not receive any fine related to the jersey they wore against Atalanta.
The disciplinary committee’s rulings covered matches played from April 25-28, 2025 during the 15th round of Serie A’s second half of the season. Several clubs were also issued fines for their supporters’ use of flares and other prohibited items in the stands.
