Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli has expressed the club`s satisfaction with Igor Tudor`s work as head coach. In a recent interview, Giuntoli discussed the team`s plans for the upcoming Club World Cup and potential transfers.
Regarding Tudor`s future at Juventus, Giuntoli stated, “We are very pleased with his work and the impact he has had on the team. We will evaluate the situation at the end of the season, but we are extremely satisfied with his performance so far.”
The director also addressed the challenges Juventus faced this season, including a younger squad, reduced salary costs, and numerous injuries. Despite these obstacles, the team is still in contention for a Champions League spot, which Giuntoli considers “an extraordinary result.”
With the Club World Cup approaching in June and July, Juventus is actively working on strengthening their squad. Giuntoli revealed ongoing negotiations with several clubs:
- Discussions with Fenerbahce and Ajax to bring Kostic and Rugani to the tournament
- Advanced talks with Porto for Francisco Conceicao
- Negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea for Kolo Muani and Veiga
These efforts aim to address the limited player availability for the Club World Cup. Giuntoli emphasized the importance of retaining players for this competition due to the team`s current situation.
When asked about the potential return of Antonio Conte to Juventus, Giuntoli remained diplomatic, simply congratulating Napoli on their successful season.
As for injured player Gleison Bremer, Giuntoli confirmed that while he has resumed training following knee ligament surgery, it is unlikely he will participate in the Club World Cup.
