Juventus Targets Chelsea’s Chukwuemeka After Securing Renato Veiga
Following the acquisition of Renato Veiga, Juventus has set its sights on Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, aiming to secure him on a loan deal.
Veiga, a versatile defender, arrived in Italy on Sunday and completed his medical examination, finalizing a six-month loan move to Juventus. The Italian club is reportedly paying €5 million for Veiga’s services until the end of the season, with Chelsea covering his salary.
Multiple sources, including transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, suggest that negotiations between the two clubs may not end with Veiga’s deal. Juventus has expressed interest in Chukwuemeka, a 21-year-old midfielder who has been previously linked with a move to Serie A.
Chukwuemeka Attracts Attention from Serie A Clubs
The young talent has garnered interest from several clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Lazio, and Napoli. Chelsea acquired Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa in the summer of 2022 for €18 million, but he has seen limited playing time this season, making only five appearances totaling 130 minutes.
Juventus’s pursuit of Chukwuemeka highlights their ongoing efforts to strengthen their midfield options. The potential loan deal could provide the young player with more opportunities for first-team football while allowing Juventus to benefit from his talents.
As the transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen whether Juventus can successfully negotiate a deal for Chukwuemeka and add another promising young player to their squad.
